Guardian Family Information

What does it mean to be a Guardian?

When the time comes for us to grow in our program, we will adopt some of our own pups to stay with us forever. We have hand selected these puppies and taken into consideration things like genetics, appearance and temperament.

Rather than overcrowding our property and spreading our time and attention too thin, we offer our future breeding dogs the opportunity to be raised by a Guardian Family. This is where we find families that are interested in adopting a dog, and affording them the opportunity at one of our amazing puppies with no adoption fee. This program gives families a chance at a new family member, and the dogs the ability to be raised in a home environment where they are the center of someone's world.

When the puppy has had time to grow and mature into breeding age, we will stay in contact and meet up to handle the process together. If you are the guardian family to a little girl, mom and her puppies will spend time with us until the puppies are weaned. This typically takes about 5-6 weeks.

Guardian Families agree to raise the dog as their own, handling all vetting and costs associated with him/her as it is treated as an adoption with stipulations for breeding. Jordan's Mini Aussies reserves all breeding rights until the dog is retired from breeding, at which time complete ownership is signed over to the Guardian Family.

We understand that this program is not for everybody, but if you have any questions and would like to understand the process better, please reach out to Jordan directly at (614)-515-8932.

*It is preferred that Guardian Families live in central Ohio or within 4 hours of our home.
